For twelve episodes, I have asked some of the best riders in the world about their mindset, their horses, their pressure, and the moments that shaped them.
In Episode 13 of Inside the Mind, the roles are reversed.
This time, I share my own journey into the mind. For me, it started with frustration. I knew I could ride well at home, but at shows, something changed. The ability was there, but I could not always access it when it mattered most.
The question that changed everything was not, “What is wrong with me?” It was, “If I really cannot do this, then how come sometimes I can?”
That question opened the door to the work I do today.
In this episode, I speak about why riders are not broken, why mental strength is not about force, and why the horse is such a powerful mirror. Our horses reflect our tension, our clarity, our presence, and our doubt.
The deeper we are willing to connect with ourselves, the deeper we can connect with them.
